1) Freckles:

How to use: 

Take a juice of half a lemon in a bowl and half a teaspoon of turmeric (haldi) powder and half a teaspoon of honey. Mix these ingredients properly such as to make a thick paste. Apply it on the affected areas, wait for 20-25 minutes until the paste is dry. After that wash off with cold water. Do this process regularly once a day, you will get results.

 

2) Melasma: 

This is the most common type of pigmentation. A thick layer of living cells beneath the skin is called the dermis, which includes blood vessels, nerve endings and hair follicles. After pregnancy and childbirth, dark spots appear on the face called as melasma. It occurs sometimes due to too much sun exposure, hormonal imbalance, and taking birth control pills and also causes melasma on the face. For this, we should use allovera gel.

Aelovera Gel: Aelovera gel is very useful for skin. It is rich in medicinal properties and suitable for all types of skin. This can protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet rays. It contains polysaccharides that remove the spot of melasma and give the original glow to the skin.

How to use: 

Take aelovera leaves and cut into pieces. Take out the gel from it into a bowl. Then apply this gel directly on the spot of melasma and massage it with a light hand and leave it for 15-20 minutes. After that, wash off the face with cold water.

3) Solar Lentigo: 

These are also called as age spots and liver spots. Solar Lentigo is a disease that occurs when skin is exposed to sunlight. It can usually occur after the age of 50 years. They are brown, light red or light black in color with circular, oval, triangular or liver shape.

Potato and Honey: Potatoes contain an enzyme called catecholase, which helps to brighten skin and get rid of pigmentation whereas honey contains trace amounts of hydrogen peroxide. This might give it mild lightning properties.

How to use:

Take two potatoes and grate them into a bowl. Then add one teaspoon of honey to it and mix it properly to make a smooth paste. Apply this paste on your spots for 10-20 minutes. After that wash off with lukewarm water, until it dries.

4) Post Inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH):

It can occur after there is damage or irritation to the skin. PIH is the discoloration of skin that remains after the wound heals. It can appear white, pink, purple, brown, red or black depending on your skin tone and depth of discoloration. Gram flour is used for removing this type of pigmentation.

Gram flour: Gram flour (Chana daal) acts as a natural exfoliating scrub that gentles on the skin, improves skin texture, and reduces hyperpigmentation.

How to use: 

Take a 2 teaspoon of gram flour in a bowl and add 1 teaspoon of yogurt and mix it well. After that, squeeze 1 lemon juice into it and mix it properly to make a smooth paste. Apply this paste all over the face, neck, and other areas. Left it for 30 mins and then wash it off. Do this process twice a week.
